You are looking at a sterling silver .925 hope chest pendant. This antiqued silver charm/pendant is a small box with a curved lid that opens with on a hinge. The curved top has a permanent bale. The sides, front, back and top have a curved line design. The front has a latch to hold the box closed. The latch can be lifted to open the treasure chest. The inside is empty. The charm measures about ½ inch high (including the ring) by 3/16 inch deep by 5/16 inch across and weighs about 2.02 grams. This is a very cute pendant.
This pendant/charm has a ring that would fit a neck chain that is approximately 3mm in diameter or less. It would be a great gift for anyone who is looking for treasure, or just loves little boxes.
